PeopleSoft Systems Analyst or PeopleSoft IT Engineer

This is a functional/technical position utilizing the PeopleSoft Financial Application (8.4) in an Oracle Database environment.  The position requires at least five (5) years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or computer science or equivalent education, plus excellent written and oral communication skills.  Also, requires good understanding of PeopleSoft functionality (8.4, 8.9 and People Tools 8.4 and above) including nVision, queries, and tree management. Must possess excellent functional and technical knowledge and system related analytical skills.

Qualified applicants must have more than five (5) years of hands on experience in PeopleSoft modules such as GL, AP, PC, AM, T&E and strong technical and functional background in all areas of application development including in strong skills in using nVision, Query manager, PeopleCode, Application Engine, and Data Management tools, SQL/SQR for reporting, and application trouble shooting.  Additionally applicant must have at least five (5) years experience in analysis, design, and developing/customizing PS applications whenever it is necessary plus up to date knowledge of current tools and technology.

This individual will be responsible for all facets of PeopleSoft 8.9 AP, GL, AM, Project Costing and T&E modules maintenance which includes the following: maintaining existing customizations, queries, reports, and interfaces, and interaction with end users to resolve PeopleSoft issues, interaction with fellow associates in the effective usage of the system and any other systems related issues.  The successful candidate will be required to do gap analysis, impact analysis, design, writing functional analysis document and work closely with users to solve functional and technical problems.


Typical work activities
•        PeopleSoft financial system operational support
•        resolve day-to-day PeopleSoft support related issues
•        liaising extensively with PeopleSoft users and support accounting team;
•        translating client requirements into highly specified Ps project briefs;
•        identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability;
•        creating logical solutions to complex problems using PeopleSoft technologies;
•        working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
•        drawing up a testing schedule for the complete system;
•        working on the implementation of a new system
•        planning and working flexibly to a deadline;
•        writing user manuals;
•        providing training to users of a new system;
•        keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments.
